I've updated most of my photography pages to the new slide show. Doing this will have broken any links to the old pages on some of my older posts, I may correct this at some point in my life, then again I may not.
Well it's been a while now since I posted anything, I've had a few things that I wanted to post about but just couldn't find the time to do it, Even now I'm grabbing five minutes to post this.
A couple of the things I wanted to post about was the cost of gig tickets and the shooting of a swan that we have been feeding over the last two years. There thats it for the moment, Back to it... I managed to get everything over that I wanted to from my Rapidweaver site, I'm very pleased with the results and I even managed to edit the theme a little too.
I'm seriously thinking about getting the pro account. There were a few little niggles but nothing that couldn't be sorted by restarting the browser, one particular glitch was when adding a post to the blog and when I click in the text box the box would stick to the bottom of the editor bar and I couldn't see what I was typing, I restarted the web browser and all was well. Well thats all my blog posts transferred over, I've still got my photography and art pages to do and my dream blog, these will have to be done over the next few days.
There are still a few links that won't work till I get the relevant parts sorted out. Now what I have to do is to try and move my Rapidweaver blog over to Weebly, I'm not sure how this will go, Everything will have to be copied and pasted. Does Weebly allow you to enter older posts? Lets find out..
Update: Well I've spent the whole day on and off putting all my posts from 2008 from my original Rapidweaver site to this Weebly site, Pretty easy going so far, There has been a couple of little glitches with the date of the post resetting to todays date but I solved that by adding a title and changing the date then saving to live and then editing the post with the content. I've been doing a blog for about a year and a half using a program called Rapidweaver, If your a Mac user you will know all about it and how easy it is to use, I've been using it long before I started a blog, but this year I have had loads of problems with it, Blog posts missing, pages would just vanish, photos would not load even though they where already uploaded and publishing issues plus others, I finally got fed up with the problems and decided to try online web creation, So here I am. Lets see how this goes. Things are going to look a bit messy to begin with till I get used to this so just bear with me.
So I decided to move my website to the mobile me web space and since doing that I have had nothing but problems, When I first uploaded my site using Rapidweaver everything went fine but then I added my Goldfrapp movie to the video page and then everything went belly up, I then re did my site in iWeb but I wasn’t happy with that and didn’t like the way I web worked so I went back to Rapidweaver, I deleted my site from my mobile me disk and then re published my site, Oh before I did that I changed the header graphic then republished the site, Everything seemed ok except the photography pages they didn’t load at all so I re published again and again but I just couldn’t get them to work, In the end I exported my site to hard disc and tested it the photography pages still didn’t work so I exported them separately and tested again they work this time, I checked the rest of the site and everything was fine so I dragged the site folder onto my iDisk to upload, Everything works fine except for the Goldfrapp video it just doesn’t seem to load, I will work on that again.
Well my website went belly up in the transition from my old web space to my mobile me web space.
I did my web with Rapidweaver because it was quick and easy with the blogging side of it but since I moved from the old servers to mobile me my website didn’t display correctly, So i decided to re do it all in iWeb instead, There is a bit more involved in it which I didn’t want but hay if it works... Due to costs involved in keeping all my domains up I have now taken the step to putting them all in one place, So over the next few days I will be migrating everything to my mobile me web space.
jevons.info will be the main website address and will still bring you to here. But over the next days or so you will see the Apple page for mobile me till all the routings have been sorted out, But you won’t even be reading this till it’s all done anyway. deadwasp.co.uk will take you to the deadwasp pages where you can see some of the music videos we did in our attempt to provide a service to local bands. millidagjev.co.uk this will soon be on this server and here you can see the silly films we made. feathered-tiger.co.uk there is nothing on this site so that will bring you to jevons.info until I find a use for it. I have re done the website to incorporate a blog as the first page. I did this because I couldn't think of what to put on the first page. I have also changed the way the pictures are displayed to make it easier for you the viewer and for me to update. Any update will be displayed in the blog and you will be able to navigate to the relevant sections on the right.
